Tidal Connection Original Painting 18×24 Inch

Description

When the tide cuts the mount off, boats step in to reconnect it.  Connections come and go with the tide but we always need them.  St Michaels Mount is a reminder of connections to our past, and folk law and how important it is to stay connected. Sometimes things so close can feel so far away as the connection moves with the tide.

This piece is part of my RED series which began with Resilience and the poppies of West Pentire.  I stripped the colours away to simplistic black and white and left one, striking red item of significance in the scene.  The Full series features Resilience, By Your Side, Thinking of You, The Last Wave, Tidal Connection and Rest.
